Palace Interior
I built thi s interior in Sketch Up now I'm going to hand draw and fix it up a bit and detail it out using my light table and tracing paper. I'm sick of photoshop - I don't know how to use it. I want to see what I can come up with using Piranesi as an influence. It will end up being the Palace that my character Gaspar stays at when he gets to Sarbug in the Hymn of the Pearl

Labyrinth
This is the labyrinth I've been working on in my digital environments class. This is the Exterior of the Sultan's city that appears as labyrinth. Baron Munchhausen is held captive by the Pasha (the Sultan) but bets he can send his runner (Berthold) to get some Tokay(a very sweet wine) in an hour from Vienna and it will be better wine than the Sultan's. If he loses the wager we will lose his head if he wins he can take as much gold as he can carry and have his freedom. I have set it up the climax of the story as Berthold must navigate the maze of the Sultan's city as the last seconds of the hour count down and the sen has set.
But for me, secretly, this is the city Sarbug in my story Hymn of the Pearl. A labyrinth where the prostitute Kama lives.

Environments and the Wacom

Here is my first assignment it took me forever . My hand started to cramp also. It still works. I think I am too old to learn to draw on the computer. But here I did it. Some of it looks good some of it not so good.
I learned a few things about photoshop - the skew tool, when you hold the shift key you can make a straight line. It was so hard!!!!
