Page Seven - Hymn of the Pearl

Back to work on the graphic novel.  Page seven.  Please don't laugh at my. I have been working on this so many years and really haven't gotten any where.

Here is my pencil draft I did today.

 Here is the thumbnail I was working from. Andy Fish gave me corrections.  The usual ones he give me are pushing in on the panel.  He suggested the shadow on panel 1 also.

 Here are the drawings that I assembled today to make the pencil draft.

 I used marker on this one because there was so much black.  I got lazy about filling in all the pencil.

Page 6 I think is more successful than page 5.  I will see what Andy has to say.

Inking Page 5 - Hymn of the Pearl

I am turning in 2 pages for my Illustrating the Graphic Novel Class with Andy Fish through Emerson Professional Program/Extension Online.  I have taken this class several times.  It really helps me. I am going to re-ink some of this page.  It is not holding together for me.  I will see what Andy's comments are.

 

I think this panel is working fine.  Maybe too dark under the arch.

 I like this panel.

 I am going to try this panel without atmosphere spatter.

 I am going to try this panel with just white in Gaspar's face.

 I think this panel is ok.

 This one has two different styles I am going to redo this one.
